Bat Rolling Companies – Who’s feeding you bad information?
The numbers of bat rolling companies are increasing everyday. Just last year there where only 3-4 showing up within the Google search and now there are about a dozen and of those dozen there are only 2-3 that actually know what they are doing. Of the 5 companies that come up on the first page of a Google search for Bat Rolling you will find that there is only 1 company listed there that pushes Perpendicular followed by parallel rolling as the best way to roll. This same company is the only one that has only been in business for roughly 1 year (regardless of what they tell you). The other 4 companies have been in the BAT ROLLING business for over 4 years. If you take a look you will see that these 4 experienced companies all recommend Perpendicular rolling as being the preferred method. I’m sure it’s safe to say that if there was really some new way to roll your bat to provide better results wouldn’t you think that everyone else would have followed suit? Of course they would! It’s their way of combating the constant feed of bad information from these inexperienced bat rolling companies.
What I’ve seen happening is this new bat rolling company (I will leave their name off of this post) starts up their business and needs to make a statement. Their marketing technique is to flood the market with this so called “New way of Rolling”. They’ve written numerous articles and video. They are trying to convince you that they can do things better than those that have been doing it for years. All of their propaganda is based on unsubstantiated claims that Perpendicular followed by parallel rolling is needed for optimal performance. This is simply not the case! Use common sense – If it was better everyone would follow suit. There has never been anyone to actually show the benefits of this new and improved rolling method. The benefits simply come from a self proclaimed Bat Rolling Authority. If they are the “BAT ROLLING AUTHORITY” I’m sure they have something to support their claims. Actually I’m pretty sure THEY DON’T. Reason is, because it doesn’t exist and it’s not true.
A good sign that they don’t have a good handle on the rolling process is that for some reason they think you can properly roll your bat in 5 minutes or less. You CAN NOT roll your bat successfully in this amount of time. In order to roll your bat properly it takes a minimum of 20 minutes. **Recently I noticed that since we’ve called them out on this they’ve changed their Bat Rolling videos and also updated their site saying it’s only a portion of the rolling process** Basically they are trying to deceive you.
The truth is it DOES NOT matter how you roll your baseball or softball bat. It’s all about technique and desires to spend the needed amount of time to roll your bat properly. This will ensure you hit all the areas on the barrel.
Perpendicular followed by Parallel for optimal results is a SCAM. Don’t buy into that bad information. If a company is willing to give you bad information only then what makes you think they are going to be honest with the services they provide to their customers. Do your homework and use a company that’s not afraid to give you honest information!
Good work dude, it’s about time that someone pointed this out. It’s a shame that these guys fill the net with BS. I guess it’s really geared towards those that don’t know what Bat Rolling is all about. Some of their stuff looks like it makes sense but when you think about it logicically and as yourself why would they be able to come up with something that hasn’t been already attempted you realized they are just giving us a line of crap. Keep up the good flow of information. Without you guys we’d be in dark.
